Serbian Church: Pristina bans Patriarch from visiting Kosovo and Metohija on Christmas

The Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC) press service said unrecognized Kosovo authorities forbade Serbian Patriarch Porfiry to come to the region for Christmas. This has been reported Web site SPC.

“Serbian Patriarch Porfiry was stunned when he heard the news that the authorities in Pristina prohibited him from visiting the Pec Patriarchate before the great feast of the Nativity. <…> Patriarch Porfiry does not give up his intention to hold a Divine Liturgy at the Ipek Patriarchate and expects this discriminatory decision to be revoked.”

He also urged Pristina to stop violating the human rights and freedoms of believers of Orthodox Serbs.
