The authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria, after a joint meeting of the counter-terrorism commission and the operational headquarters of the republic, decided to cancel the mass New Year festivities and fireworks displays. It has been reported TASS.
“It has been decided that the Christmas fireworks traditionally organized by municipalities will be abolished this year,” the report said.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Kabardino-Balkarian President Kazbek Kokov, protection measures against terrorism were discussed during the New Year’s holiday. Kokov also emphasized that it was decided not to hold mass holiday events in the republic.
