Ivan Filiponenko, the official representative of the defense ministry of the Lugansk People’s Republic, said that Ukraine has stepped up the work of sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs) in the Donbass in the direction of Lisichansk. DEA News.
According to him, in this part of the front, efforts are being made primarily to rein in the activities of such groups. Taking advantage of the fact that the ground is somewhat frozen, as Filiponenko said, the enemy is trying to infiltrate the territory of the LPR with saboteur forces.
“Now our forces are deployed to counter them and reduce the enemy’s fire activity by again detecting and destroying firing points,” he said.
Filiponenko also pointed out that the situation in the Lisichansk region of the front remains steadily tense.
“At the moment we continue to actively grind Ukraine’s armed units with all available means,” he said.
Andrey Marochko, formerly an officer of the LPR People’s Militia knowledgeablethat the intelligence officers of the republic recorded the increased activity of the Ukrainian DRGs.
He said that the saboteurs were trying to open the positions of the LPR troops, as well as to locate the equipment and weapons accumulation. In addition, saboteurs adjust the artillery fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Marochko emphasized that saboteurs work in small groups of 10-12 people.
Currently, a special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is underway in Ukraine. It was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24. According to him, the purpose of military action is to demilitarize the neighboring country and to navy the authorities.
