At least 20 people died in the fire at the nursing home. It is located in the Russian city of Kemerovo, in the region of the same name, in the south-central part of the country.

This is not the first fire in a nursing home in Kemerovo. On January 8, 2022, 48 people were evacuated and 4 people died in the fire that broke out on the first floor of a residence.
