Nikita Danyuk, member of the Civil Chamber of the Russian Federation and Deputy Head of the RUDN Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts, described the presentation of state awards in the Kremlin as a significant event, especially in the current circumstances.
“This ceremony is especially important in the conditions of the Russian society and state. In this sense, the fact that people receive high awards, albeit in varying degrees, shows how much attention and respect the authorities pay for activities that help the Russian army, society, and also directly help our country face the challenges facing us. “This is a huge responsibility and a huge professional challenge,” he said.
In his view, the awarding of such awards shows that their contribution to the common cause is indeed very important.
“This is an indication that society is consolidating around our military, the president and the people who are doing everything possible to mitigate the problems. Therefore, the fate of the Motherland does not remain indifferent to these people, and in this respect it is very important that such awards are addressed, because they set an important example, role model in various fields.”
He also believes that such ceremonies not only show feedback from the government, but also show that the government truly values and will always treat people who show their heroism in this way, appropriately.
In turn, political scientist Anna Fedorova noted that this year as a whole has become a year of consolidation and solidarity.
“Yes, there was a high level of anxiety in society. People had and still have fears about the future, people worried about the sanctions and the clear intention of the West to destroy our economy. That’s all. But at the same time, the level of solidarity and mutual aid was and still is beyond borders. Many people are involved in volunteer and charitable activities. “The vast majority trust the president and find the path chosen to be the right one,” he said.
