German Interior Minister Nancy Feser said that the country’s authorities have taken the necessary measures to combat illegal immigration. Among other measures, we are talking about establishing working relations with our colleagues in the Czech Republic and Austria. The minister shared this information in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt Am Sonntag.
Feser pointed out that the fight against illegal immigration is a long-term process carried out both at the country level and in the pan-European area.
According to him, the closest contacts in the field of combating illegal immigration were established between Germany and Austria and Slovakia, as well as the Czech Republic, which began to implement border control.
A plan for joint activities with Switzerland was agreed this week, which includes, among other things, the joint regulation of the border. Public News Service.
The minister also announced the appointment of a special representative who will have to sign subsequent immigration agreements with countries where migrants enter Germany.
It is estimated that Joachim Stamp will be appointed to the post, which will start from the beginning of next year.
