Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, launched a series of strategic sessions on domestic scientific instruments, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation told socialbites.ca about it.
According to him, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko on behalf of the President of Russia approved a roadmap for the development of domestic scientific instrumentation by 2030.
Under the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, this year the expert council of domestic scientific instrumentation was relaunched. Four leading Russian universities – MIPT, MSTU. NE Bauman, NUST MEPhI and NRU MIET have already started the development of 15 instruments, including mass spectrometers, lithographs and other scientific equipment. According to the minister, the first stages of development work are scheduled to be accepted by the end of this year.
“It is important to use the time remaining in 2022 well to analyze the industry landscape and identify key challenges, threats and shortcomings in the short, medium and long term, as well as make an objective assessment of our capabilities in developing and manufacturing optional devices. The results of our session are derived from the development of devices. “Very, it should lay the foundation for the rebuilding of the industry that was once the pride of our country.”
He also noted that the outcome of the cycle of strategic sessions on scientific instrumentation will be the identification of the range of critical scientific equipment, components and consumables that require full localization, manufacturing capabilities and development competencies. Measures to support the domestic demand for scientific instruments and equipment and measures to support the producers of scientific instruments and equipment will be consolidated and suggestions for improvement will be presented.
