Roskosmos declassifies personal file of Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin

The personal file of the planet’s first cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, was declassified in September of this year. Reported in this journal “Russian area”.

“In September of this year, at the initiative of Roscosmos, the confidentiality stamp was removed from the historical document and is now available to researchers,” the material says.

In Soviet times, a “personal file” was started for each person applying for a job or education. This document was kept under the heading “for official use” in the personnel department of the enterprise and could not even reach the employee himself.

“The personal file contains a questionnaire, which, according to Yuri Gagarin, was filled in at the aviation school and added during the service. The magazine article contains interesting details of the biography, which for an unknown reason were hidden by the Soviet authorities, ”says.

On April 12, 1961, the first manned flight into space took place – it was made by Yuri Gagarin.
