Private Division and Piccolo Studio announced at The Game Awardsafter us‘, spring 2023 PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | A new exploration and adventure game to be released on Steam for S and PC. In the game, players will take on the role of Gaia, the spirit of life, on a surreal journey after the end of humanity to bring hope back to a broken planet.
“After Us” presents a fantasy world devastated by the harmful actions of society, in which players will travel across ten different biomes. During the adventure, you’ll be able to discover the ultimate destinies of majestic creatures like the last spear whale, the last caged eagle, or the last hunted deer before resurrecting their souls to bring them back to earth. Each scenario will bring new challenges to Gaia and recount these animals’ final moments as a prologue to their resurrection.
The game has the open seal of Catalan studio Piccolo Studio, combining impressive narrative with an exciting component of exploration and adventure. Gaia will have to jump, glide, rise, wall run and swim to overcome obstacles and deadly enemies. As the incarnation of life, She has the power to help restore and rebuild the planet, while also emitting pulses of light for plants to sprout and reveal new paths.
