According to the minister, Poland will deploy Patriot missile defense systems after Germany’s refusal to deploy them in Ukraine. The proposal to deploy missile defense systems in Poland came from the German side after a missile crashed on Polish soil.

On Tuesday evening, Blaszczak tweeted that he was disappointed after meeting with his German counterpart, Christina Lambrecht. However, the two countries managed to reach an agreement on the deployment of missiles to Poland.

“We are therefore starting work on deploying the launchers in Poland and connecting them to our control system,” said Blaszczak.
