The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Volgograd Region told RIA Novosti that the incident occurred on Thursday morning at 70 Komarova street, in the Soviet district of Volgograd.
“A child’s body was found in the Skoda car, the 52-year-old owner of the car was hospitalized with injuries” – says in a press release.
As seen from CCTV cameras, the fire started when a Skoda car exploded, then spread to a second car. Nearby owners hastily drove their cars away from the fire.
During an investigation at Skoda, the police found two acetylene cylinders, the first cause of the fire was gas leakage. The owner of the car, V. Shirazhkin, born in 1970, was taken to intensive care in critical condition. According to the Volgograd News Telegram channel, the man suffered concussions, concussions, fractures and numerous lacerations.
The Investigative Committee of the ICR for the Volgograd Region opened a criminal case leading to death by negligence in accordance with Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The circumstances of the fire and the death of the child are being determined. An investigative-operational group, fire-fighting specialists of the Volgograd Region forensic center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia work at the scene.

How reported Readers of the Volgograd news agency “Height 102, the flames almost instantly jumped from the Skoda to another car.
“The car was completely destroyed. There was a powerful explosion. It is incredible how the man standing next to him survived. He was taken by ambulance. The flame from this car immediately spread to neighboring cars,” they said.
Eyewitnesses of the tragedy claim that the injured man is the father of the deceased three-year-old boy.
“About eight in the morning the man went out into the garden with the boy, opened the car, put the boy in the passenger compartment, and left the car, apparently to warm up. During this time he remained outside. There was an explosion as he was circling the car. Worst of all, the child’s mother saw what happened through the window,” said eyewitnesses of the incident.
Another witness told REN TV that the explosion was so violent that it looked like a bomb explosion to him.
“My windows cracked, we thought it was a bomb. Then the neighbor said that cars exploded and one of them had a child inside. Suddenly cars can’t explode like that, ”Ekaterina said.
It was also noted that the 52-year-old man worked as a welder, according to unconfirmed information. Maybe he carried acetylene tubes in the trunk for later use at work.
But it is known that the injured man did indeed work as a gas worker before, this was reported to the V1.RU correspondent.
According to open sources, the boy’s mother, Natalia, worked for individual entrepreneur Yevgeny Silkin. The man runs the Gazovik company, which is engaged in household gas equipment. The businessman said that the company was already aware of what had happened.
“The company will of course help the family. Natalia works for us as a remote administrator. Making more tender purchases. Her husband does not work with us. I don’t know exactly where he works now, but he used to work at Gorgaz, ”Silkin said.
He noted that their company did not trade in acetylene cylinders found at the scene of the fire. The company’s website does not actually list this product.
