Military Education
Sergei Shoigu held a meeting of the board of directors of the Russian Ministry of Defense. He explained that the participants of the event were trained by nearly 3,000 trainers, 300 thousand of whom were mobilized.
“More than a hundred landfills were used on the territory of our country and the Republic of Belarus. “More than 300,000 reservists, including volunteers, were trained in two months,” Shoigu said.
At the training centers, hardware combat training was given to approximately 8 thousand combat vehicle and tank crews, artillery systems, air defense systems, unmanned aerial vehicles and electronic warfare systems crews.
Shoigu proposed the establishment of 16 new military training centers for students. He noted that last year the Ministry of Defense, together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, began developing additional centers at public universities. During the year, eight military training centers were already opened in Russia, and about a thousand students were trained in them. According to Shoigu, the opening of additional vocational training centers will expand the geography of military training from 52 to 68 subjects of the country.
As a result, the number of military training centers will increase to 120. This will allow military training within the walls of higher education institutions in the demanding fields of activity of the RF Armed Forces. Ministry announced.
Weapons modernization
According to Shoigu, Russian troops in the special operations zone in Ukraine are experimenting with new methods of warfare, missile forces and artillery.
“Effective fire defeat of the enemy is an important component of the success of military operations. An important role in this is given to the missile forces and artillery, it primarily concerns the use of modern and promising weapons, as well as reconnaissance and striker firing systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles.
Shoigu added that counter-battery combat was also enhanced during the NWO. According to him, this includes long-range rocket artillery systems “Tornado-S” and high-power artillery systems “Malka”.
“This allows you to effectively hit foreign rocket and artillery systems,” said the minister.
He said five formations of the Strategic Missile Forces are building infrastructure facilities that will allow them to deploy new missile systems. In addition, a special testing ground “along the line of the Space Forces” is being created in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Shoigu added that the Russian Navy handed over the facilities of the coastal energy infrastructure facilities in Gadzhiyevo in the Murmansk region and the main base in Kaspiysk, Dagestan. The Minister concluded that all the tasks of the President of Russia to restore infrastructure in the “new regions” of Russia “are carried out ahead of schedule”.
“The modernization and creation of promising systems and their use during a special military operation need to continue,” Shoigu said.
government contracts
Shoigu said that next year it is necessary to provide weapons to the permanent readiness units of the RF Armed Forces at the level of 97%.
“In the coming year, the volume of financing of the state defense order will increase by about 1.5 times, taking into account the additional budgetary funds allocated. This will make it possible to provide formations and military units with constant readiness for weapons and equipment at the level of 97%,” he said.
At the same time, he noted that it is important to maintain the maximum possible volume of production, as well as organize improved deliveries to the troops.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, the State Order of Defense will be fulfilled this year at least 99%. According to him, this was possible because “on the basis of the National Defense Control Center, control of the supply of specifically requested weapons was organized.”
Shoigu concluded that due to the military special operations in Ukraine and the partial mobilization announced in Russia, the requirements for the state defense order have increased at all levels of control and execution.
