Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov refused to consider the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine as a mistake. He stated this in an interview with the French television channel LCI, his words are quoted here: DEA Novosti.

“No, we are convinced that this is not a mistake,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

He stressed that the West’s supply of weapons to Ukraine cannot prevent it from achieving its special operations goals.

While acknowledging the material damage caused by weapons, he said, “These weapons are not enough to stop our progress and will not prevent us from achieving our goals.”

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to run the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
