Polish developer CD Projekt Red has announced that the first game in the franchise’witch‘ has a new version in the works at Fool’s Theory, a development studio specializing in role-playing games. The announcement coincided with the fifteenth birthday of its launch. In 2007, the video game for computers was released, and with it began one of the most successful series of recent years in the entertainment segment.

Initial data was released during the Strategy Update, which the study conducted in early October. In it, the company revealed that it is working on a mysterious production called “.canis majoris”. They solved the mystery and confirmed that the development coincides with the aforementioned ‘The Witcher’, from the company they went on to confirm that the recreation will bring a program developed “from the ground up” that will feature technologies from the Unreal Engine 5 API.

It aims to bring a completely new perspective to the remake of one of the most beloved video games of recent years. According to CD Projekt Red, the project is still in the early stages of development, although the team has staff members who have worked on the company’s other successful projects such as ‘The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings’ and ‘The Witcher 3: Wild’.
