The American newspaper The New York Times on Wednesday (April 6th) confirmed the authenticity of the previously published video showing the massacre of wounded Russian soldiers by the Ukrainian army. TASS.

A video posted online on Monday and verified by The New York Times shows a group of Ukrainian soldiers killing Russian troops captured near a village west of Kiev.

In the captured footage, you can see how the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired several shots at a life sign, which is presumed to be a Russian soldier lying on the road. Not far from him can be seen the bodies of several soldiers who were probably killed. The NYT claims that the recording was made on March 30, during the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kiev.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The president described the purpose of the operation as “protecting people who have been subjected to eight years of bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime”. The decision to run the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
