Perm National Research Politteknik University (PNIPU) scientists have developed a cold plasma device for the treatment of wounds and skin diseases. This was reported to the “Gazeta.ru” in the press service of the scientific institution.
According to open data, approximately 15-20% of the Russian population suffers from dermatological problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and fungal infections. Traditional treatment methods, including antibiotics and drugs, often cause side effects: dysbiosis affects toxic on allergies and organs.
Unlike the laser, cold plasma works at a wide variety of wavelengths from ultraviolet infrared radiation. This allows you to disinfect at the same time, to stimulate tissue regeneration, and to heat them without the risk of overheating. The temperature of the plasma on the surface is close to the room, which makes the procedure safe for the skin.
The apparatus in Perm polytechnic has been tested on real patients. During the studies, cold plasma treatment for 3-7 minutes has been proven to accelerate the healing of wounds several times, reduce inflammation and suppress pathogenic microflora. The device successfully cope with problems such as acne, herpetic rashes, trophic ulcers and open wounds.
Now the device is doing pre -clinical research at academician EA Wagner. In the future, they plan to use to treat patients with long -term healing sores and skin diseases.
Previously, Russian scientists To create A way to reduce the harmful emissions of aviation and energy.
