Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov started receiving threats because of the cake containing books by Russian authors. about this reported Russia’s public television.
The head of the city published a photo of a giant dessert with figures from the books of Alexander Kuprin, Mikhail Zhvanetsky and Isaac Babel. These writers were probably chosen for their connections to Odessa, but Ukrainian residents did not like the cake and offered to deal with the mayor due to “Ukrainophobia.”
Some commentators under the post with the photo of the cake insulted Trukhanov and wished him to drown in this deliciousness. The rest of the indignants began to guess how much the confectionery presented to the mayor could cost.
