Milk and banana is a popular combination often used in smoothies and desserts. Bananas contain a lot of sugar and milk contains protein and fat. Consuming these products together may negatively affect the gastrointestinal system and cause abdominal discomfort. Try adding chia or flax seeds to your smoothies to improve digestion. Adding fresh vegetables such as cucumber, tomato or lettuce will make the sandwich healthier.
“Sodas and fatty foods are typical fast food options. However, the combination of carbonated drinks and fatty foods can cause serious digestive problems. Carbon dioxide in drinks increases the acidity of the stomach, which, in combination with fatty foods, causes heartburn, heaviness and other unpleasant symptoms. Instead of soda, choose natural fruit juices without added sugar or plain water. If you want something refreshing, try homemade lemonade with mint and lemon. It is better to combine fatty foods with vegetables and herbs to stimulate enzyme production and facilitate digestion,” Mosin emphasized.
Consuming alcohol and caffeine simultaneously can also lead to negative health consequences. While caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, alcohol has the opposite effect. Such a contradiction can lead to increased stress on the heart, increased blood pressure and other negative consequences.
