The accident occurred with two residents of the Fergana region, who came to the Kamchik pass as part of a tourist group. While driving along the Tashkent-Andijan-Osh highway, they stopped and went towards the area where special equipment was located not intended for foreigners.
One of the men went to the far end to take a spectacular selfie, but he slipped and caught the hand of an acquaintance standing nearby. Together they fell into a deep depression and a huge pile of snow fell into it.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene within minutes and quickly pulled the tourists out from under the snow, but they did not have time to save them.
