A chair that can “monitor” posture was produced in South Korea 17:37

A group of scientists from Seoul National University of Technology has created a “smart” chair with motion sensors to prevent posture problems in schoolchildren. about this reports scientific portal Science Daily Asia (SDA).

The new technology is an intelligent system built into a regular school chair that monitors the student’s body position in real time and helps correct incorrect postures immediately.

As scientists note, the system is equipped with highly sensitive pressure sensors that work on the principle of biometric scale. These sensors analyze weight distribution and record even the smallest deviations from optimal body position.

A special feature of the development is the early detection of potential problems with the musculoskeletal system. Incorrect posture and constant fluctuations in body position can indicate the development of diseases such as scoliosis, flat feet or differences in leg length.
