“The refusal of the Assad regime (Syrian President Bashar – socialbites.ca) to participate in the political process specified in UN Security Council Resolution 2254 and its dependence on Russia and Iran created the conditions that are now emerging; “The collapse of the Assad regime’s lines in northwestern Syria,” Savett said.
The document also states that the United States, together with its partners and allies, calls for reducing tensions in the region as well as protecting civilians and minorities.
“The United States has nothing to do with this attack carried out by Hayat Tahir Al Sham (HTS), which is designated as a terrorist organization,” Savett emphasized.
The White House national security spokesman stated that the United States will continue to protect and secure American military positions as well as its own personnel.
