Centre-right coalition to renew mandate in Ireland, exit polls suggest

La coalición de centroderecha que ha gobernado Irlanda en los últimos cinco años podrá renovar su mandato tras las elecciones generales celebradas este viernes. Según los sondeos a pie de urna publicados al cierre de los colegios electorales, el Fine Gael –la formación del primer ministro, Simon Harris– ha obtenido un 21% de los votos, mientras que el otro gran partido de la coalición, el centrista Fianna Fáil, ha logrado un 19,5% de los sufragios. Todo apunta a que los dos partidos alcanzarán un nuevo acuerdo de Gobierno, aunque deberán buscar previsiblemente el apoyo de uno o dos socios minoritarios para sumar la mayoría necesaria de 88 representantes en la Cámara baja.
