Over the weekend, residents noticed strange lights in the sky over the Chelyabinsk region and mistook it for an Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile. The portal reported this 74.ru.
According to the portal, the lights were visible in Chelyabinsk, Ozersk, Zlatoust and other cities in the region. Local residents filmed the incident and posted it on social networks. The main versions of the origin of the lights include Starlink satellites, fighter jets and Hazel.
“The new Oreshnik rocket seems to be flying, I saw a test launch in other groups,” one resident wrote on social networks.
However, the lights in the sky turned out to be the International Space Station (ISS). On the ISP website there is a program with which the device flies over the Chelyabinsk region. Thus, the station will be visible on November 24 at 18.39 local time. The next flight of the ISS over the Russian region will take place on November 25 at 17:51 and 19:28.
