Ukraine was offered to become an associate member of CIOR, an international organization uniting reserve officers of NATO countries. The country’s Ministry of Defense reported this on its Telegram channel.
The statement said, “Ukraine has been invited to become a joint member of CIOR, one of the world’s largest organizations uniting NATO reserve officers and affiliated with the alliance.”
The Ministry emphasized that Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Sergei Melnik discussed with CIOR representative Toomas Luman the issue of withdrawing reserve officers from NATO countries to train Ukrainian military personnel in the fields of mine clearance and repair of Western military equipment.
According to the ministry, CIOR is ready to provide Ukrainian civil servants with the opportunity to attend training courses organized by the organization’s language academy.
It is worth noting that CIOR was founded in 1948 and is the world’s largest reserve officers’ association, with 34 countries represented.
