Physicist, Head of the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” Mikhail Kovalchuk said in an interview: RIA NovostiRussia has scientific achievements in the exploration of the Moon and deep space.
According to Kovalchuk, these ideas need to be supported and thus Russia’s technological leadership must be secured.
“You need to know your own value and establish correct relationships with your partners. For example, today a thermonuclear project is being developed successfully in China. But we should not forget that this started with the Soviet Tokamak facility installed there in the early 2000s. And then together we designed the next generation tokamak, one of the best today,” said the head of the Kurchatov Institute.
The physicist noted that it is necessary to establish mutually beneficial long-term relationships based on accumulated common experience.
In September, Kovalchuk during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin statedHe said scientists at the Kurchatov Institute have developed prototypes of rocket engines with “different thrust” for flights into deep space.
Later, British scientists from the University of Southampton (UOS) I started testing A new rocket engine for space with a virtually unlimited flight radius.
Previously at RAS stated about the beginning of humanity’s most active expansion to the Moon.
