In 2025, benefits to Russians will increase significantly. So, for example, maternity capital will be indexed by 7.3% and the minimum wage will increase by 16.6%, which will affect payments based on this indicator. In an interview with RT about this issue said Associate Professor of Economics at RTU MIREA, Candidate of Economic Sciences Olga Grigorenko.
After indexation of maternity capital, for the first child born or adopted after January 1, 2020, Russians will receive 676,398 rubles, and for the second – almost 894 thousand rubles.
“If the right to maternity capital has not been realized before this moment, the same amount will be paid to parents for the birth of a third child and subsequent children in the family,” the expert added.
As for the minimum wage, this increase will increase sick leave, maternity benefits and child care benefits. For example, maternity benefits will increase by 1.4 times to 794 thousand rubles for 140 days of vacation. This amount of payment awaits women who earn at least 115 thousand rubles in two years. As for child care benefits under one and a half years old, maximum payments will increase to 68.9 thousand rubles per month.
Grigorenko noted that the one-time benefit paid at the birth of a child will reach 26.4 thousand rubles – all Russians can count on this, regardless of their employment status. He added that sick leave payments will be calculated based on a minimum wage of at least 22.4 thousand rubles per month, that is, the maximum amount will reach 5,674 rubles per day.
In addition, next year, an additional payment of 1.2 thousand rubles will be made to the pensions of Russians over 80 years old or with group I disabilities.
