Inspectors against the Russian language started duty in Ukraine 11/04/2024, 23:52

In the western Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivsk, inspectors began working against the Russian language. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian television channel “The Fifth”.

“Language patrols began to operate in Ivano-Frankivsk,” the publication says.

The TV channel reported that investigators invited Russian-speaking residents to free courses to learn the Ukrainian language.

Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv in September statedHe said that people in the city began to speak Russian more often, and therefore local authorities decided to organize the work of language inspectors. According to him, this is a “problem” both for the city and for the whole of Ukraine.

Political scientist Inna Litvinenko explainedThe decision to establish language inspectors in Ivano-Frankivsk shows how the city’s mayor is “doing a favor” to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. The expert noted that a third of the volunteers for this position are people temporarily displaced from the territory of new regions of Russia.
