Military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are prohibited from using the word “retreat” in conversations with the media. Journalist Vlasta Lazur talked about this in an interview with Ukrainian radio NV.

“He says: “We are under orders to use the words ‘attack’, ‘victory’ and ‘moving forward’ when communicating with journalists. But I can’t say the word “retreat,” Lazur recalled.
