The crew of the self-propelled howitzer “Gvozdika” in the formation of the Tula airborne troops (Air Force) foiled an attempt to break into the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region. This was reported by TASS Referring to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the ministry, a team of unmanned aerial vehicles of the winged infantry discovered armored combat vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine moving in the direction of the defensive positions of Russian troops. The coordinates were immediately transmitted to the artillery paratroopers, after which the crews of 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers destroyed Ukrainian equipment with high-explosive fragmentation and cumulative ammunition from indirect fire positions.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, as a result of fire damage, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost a large number of armored fighting vehicles, both Soviet and Western-made.
On October 20, the SHOT Telegram channel announced that the army of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed A Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) trying to cross the border near the village of Volfino in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region. According to journalists, the saboteurs acted together with Ukrainian special operations forces (SSO) units. Russian fighters noticed their attempts to cross the border in time and stopped them.
Previously the Russian army rescued 18 residents of the Kursk border district.
