According to him, Ukrainian missiles repeatedly hit the spent nuclear fuel storage facility at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.
He stated that the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant has a large storage facility because it is the largest in Europe. The head of the region called this storage facility the most dangerous facility.
“If you hit it, there is a danger of radiation contamination. There can be no nuclear explosion. It can’t happen physically,” Balitsky emphasized.
He added that the protective circuit of the nuclear power plant was not damaged as a result of Ukraine’s attacks.
