“Adoption of the decision will allow volunteers participating in a special military operation to receive veteran status from the moment their participation in the operation begins, which will allow the volunteer and his family members to receive appropriate social support measures,” says the description of the document.
In line with the recommendations of the Russian Ministry of Defense, it is planned to issue a certificate without the need for an application. The military unit involved in the formation of volunteer detachments will be obliged to transfer the necessary information and documents to the military commissariat at the place of military registration within 10 days after the order to send a person to perform special tasks.
The explanatory note states that the implementation of this proposal will not require additional financial resources from the federal budget.
