NASA responds to Russia’s desire to withdraw from the ISS program in 2024

As part of the ISS Research Conference held in Washington on July 25-28, NASA ISS Program Manager Robin Gateens said that the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration has not received any official notification about its plans to withdraw from Russia. ISS program post 2024, reports TASS.

“We have not received any official notification regarding this. “Like the United States, Russia is examining what happens and will happen after the ISS program,” he said.

At the same time, Gates noted that the cooperation between the USA and the Russian Federation on the International Space Station continues.

Earlier, the head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that Russia’s accepted Decision to withdraw from the ISS project after 2024. Borisov noted that by this time the state company will begin to build the Russian orbital station.

Press Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov saidHe said that this decision was made earlier, not on July 26.
