Applications for the X All-Russian Prize “For Loyalty to Science” are open until September 25, 2024. The winners will be awarded cash prizes, and the award ceremony will take place on October 28 in the Moscow Zaryadye Concert Hall.
The Science Pledge Award is an award recognizing excellence in science communication. In 2022, it became one of the key projects of the Decade of Science and Technology announced by the President of Russia. In 2024, the Award includes nine nominations, four of which are new: “Author of Digital Content”, “Recognition”, “Special Award named after Christopher Ledentsov” and “Science for Children”.
Journalists covering Russian science, popularizers of science, scientists and business people who contribute to the prestige of science and the promotion of domestic achievements are invited to participate in the Prize. The selection of applications is carried out by an expert council, which includes journalists, scientists, representatives of public institutions, foundations, companies and NGOs, as well as press services of universities and research institutes. The results of the competition will be determined by the Prize Organizing Committee.
The organizer of the award is the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the partners of the event are the Russian Academy of Sciences, the National Research Center of the Kurchatov Institute and the MV Lomonosov Moscow State University. The award is supported by the Charitable Foundation for Arts, Science and Sports. The founders of the special prizes of the award are the State Corporations Roscosmos, Rosatom and Rostec.
