The majority of Russians (72%) know what quadrobing is, 17% have heard about this hobby, and 11% know nothing about it. This is shown by a study conducted by VFocus Mail, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
Around 7 in 10 people have a negative attitude towards animal imitation: 48% have a “strongly negative” attitude, while 21% have a “very negative” attitude. The share of those who have a positive attitude towards quadrobing is smaller: 9% think “more positively than negatively” about the movement, while only 4% “strongly support” quadrobing. One in five (18%) has difficulty answering or has mixed views on quadrobing.
The vast majority of parents (91%) said their children were not involved in quad sports, and only 7% of those surveyed said their children were involved in this type of activity (either periodically or regularly).
When asked whether quadruple-robing should be banned, 61 percent were in favor of a ban, 18 percent said children also have the right to do quadruple-robing, while 15 percent had difficulty answering or were unable to decide. According to some participants, quadruple-robing is a sport and therefore worth allowing children to do. At the same time, other participants in the survey believe that quadruple-robing can negatively affect children’s mental health and that children should not be allowed to imitate animals.
