Kommersant reports that Sputnik Light is sold out in Russian hospitals

In a number of Russian clinics there are difficulties with the availability of the Sputnik Light vaccine against coronavirus infection. This has been reported “Kommersan”.

This vaccine is intended for revaccination, but in practice, a booster vaccine is now offered as the first component of Sputnik V, according to the publication.

Some experts admit that the need for “Light” has disappeared, since the developers managed to establish mass production of the second component of “Sputnik V”.

It turned out that in the Amur, Saratov, Irkutsk, Ulyanovsk regions, Buryatia and Crimea it is also possible to revaccinate against COVID-19 only with the first component of Sputnik V.

The Russian Ministry of Health did not explain the reason for the absence of Sputnik Light in clinics in the country and under what conditions it can be re-supplied.

Former Director of Gamaleya Center Alexander Gintsburg declarationThe reinoculated Sputnik Light is 100% protected from Omicron.
