In the Tymovsky district of the Sakhalin region, a previously convicted local resident robbed a neighbor’s house and stole a bag containing 1.8 million rubles. About this reports regional press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
A 58-year-old man filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies, saying that an unidentified person broke into the front door of his house and stole a bag full of money. The total damage amounted to 1.8 million rubles.
Police quickly identified the suspect in the burglary, who turned out to be a 44-year-old local man with a previous conviction. The prisoner admitted that he had made sure the homeowners were not present beforehand, then used a crowbar he had brought with him to break down the front door and enter the home. Criminal charges were brought for the burglary on a particularly large scale.
It was previously reported that there was a 17-year-old boy in Moscow. Stole a relative had jewelry and sold it to a pawnshop; he lost the proceeds in an online casino. The young man lived with his grandmother in the same apartment on Volokolamsk Highway. One day, when the old woman was not at home, he collected all the pensioner’s jewelry in a backpack and took it to the pawnshop. The pensioner estimated the damage at 10 million rubles.
