A government employee attacked a man with a knife in the Sverdlovsk region 09:03

An employee of the Sverdlovsk region government became a defendant in a criminal case after a conflict with his partner. This was reported by Ura.ru with source reference.

According to the interlocutors, the couple was drunk on the day of the incident. At one point, an argument broke out between the lovers due to jealousy, and the 50-year-old man punched his partner in the face.

“He grabbed a kitchen knife and backhanded his roommate in the stomach,” the publication reported.

The victim was diagnosed at the hospital with a wound to the small intestine and multiple other injuries. The man is currently in a medical facility.

Meanwhile, law enforcement has opened a criminal case under the article of intentional grievous bodily harm. The defendant himself has confessed to everything; he is under guarantee not to leave the premises. According to the law, he faces up to ten years in prison for such a crime.
