A court in the Rostov region ruled to deport Gennady Fedko, a soldier of the Skif volunteer detachment, to Moldova, who participated in a special military operation (SVO) and did not have time to extend his stay in Russia. This is reported press service Cossack reconnaissance brigade “Terek”.
On September 12, at a checkpoint between the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Rostov region, border guards detained a Moldovan citizen, a foreman of the 1st company Fedko with the call sign “Simon”. The next day, the Donetsk court (a city in the Rostov region – editor’s note) found the volunteer guilty of violating the rules of migration registration and decided to deport him to his homeland.
Terek noted that Fedko left the Northern Military District to renew his contract and did not have the opportunity to simultaneously fight on the front line and register for immigration.
“Simon is currently in a pre-trial detention centre, where he faces deportation to Moldova and a serious sentence for mercenary charges,” the message reads.
The leadership and fighters of the Terek brigade appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin with a request to understand the situation with Fedko and protect him.
