According to Ryder, the city is located at a strategic junction, especially important in terms of communication lines, so it is clear that the Ukrainian army must continue to hold Krasnoarmeysk.
The Pentagon spokesman added that Ukrainian troops were now “heavily invested” in taking control of the city.
