Actors Johnny Depp and Andrew Garfield and actresses Monica Bellucci, Tilda Swinton, Isabel Huppert and Pamela Anderson will be some of the stars who will walk the red carpet of the 72nd San Sebastian International Film Festival.
Zinemaldia announced this Friday, at its official presentation event, the names of the most famous artists who have confirmed their participation in this edition, which begins in two weeks, alongside directors such as Paolo Sorrentino, Walter Salles, Jaques Audiard, Mike Leigh, Costa-Gavras, François Ozon and Dea Kulumbegashvili, among others.
Among those famous names already confirmed at the Donostia Awards are: director Pedro Almodóvar and Australian actress Cate Blanchett, as well as Javier Bardem, whose respective award could not be delivered on September 20 last year, due to the strike of Hollywood actors.
The Zinemaldia organization has not yet announced the composition of the jury because, as its director, José Luis Rebordinos, stated, they have not yet completed appointing its president.
Many names from the world of cinema who will visit San Sebastián are participating in the Official Section.

This is the case for Noemí Merlant, Will Sharpe, Jamie Campbell Bower and Chacha Huang, who will open the festival with their review of ‘Emmanuelle’ alongside director Audrey Diwan.

Pedro Almodóvar and ‘The Room Next Door’ will be accompanied by Tilda Swinton, one of the protagonists of the director’s films, and Raúl Arévalo, Juan Diego Botto and Victoria Luengo from the national cast, alongside the usual composer of La Mancha, Alberto Iglesias.
