The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has partially suspended criminal proceedings against one of the associates of the former owner of the Cherkizovsky market Telman Ismailov, who is accused of kidnapping former freestyle wrestler Tarkhan Eldukaev and singer Abraham Russo. This is reported by RBC.
The publication notes that Eldukaev’s defense insists on closing the case altogether. The publication’s sources emphasize that the defendant sent a petition to the investigation stating that he had a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry to participate in the hostilities in Ukraine.
RBC emphasizes that Eldukaev is ready to go to the battlefield “together with a detachment of two dozen relatives and acquaintances.”
Before that, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow performed A decision that forced the Main Investigation Department (GID) of the Investigative Committee of Russia to partially suspend criminal proceedings against Tarkhan Eldukaev.
Eldukaev was previously accused of kidnapping singer Abraham Russo. The defense proved in court that the statute of limitations for the crime of kidnapping had expired in 2019, which served as the basis for dismissing the case in this section at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Earlier the media reported that Abraham Russo can send to correctional labor for ignoring fines.
