Honored Scientist of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, scientific director of the Federal Scientific and Clinical Center of Physico-Chemical Medicine named after Lopukhin FMBA Valery Sergienko died at the age of 76. No information was given about the cause of the scientist’s death.
It is noted that Sergienko made a significant contribution to the development of medicine and health care, the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the development and implementation of innovative drugs and treatment methods into clinical practice.
He is the author of more than 60 inventions, 10 doctoral and 20 candidate theses were defended under his direct supervision, and more than 350 scientific articles were published.
In 2018, the scientist was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Order of Honor, the Order of Friendship, and the title “Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the City of Moscow.” At the end of 2021, he was awarded the Great Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Sciences named after NI. Pirogov.
