The State Duma proposed equating the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs employees with military personnel 00:40

The State Duma is developing a bill that would provide additional leave to police officers participating in a special military operation (SVO). This was reported by the newspaper “https://www.mk.ru/politics/2024/08/19/deputaty-gosdumy-predlozhili-priravnyat-policeyskikh-k-voennosluzhashhim.html” target=“_blank”>.“Moskovsky Komsomolets” (“MK”).

The current law “On Veterans” provides for an additional 15 days of leave for war veterans. The Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans’ Affairs proposed expanding the list of persons covered by this provision. The deputies noted that, in addition to military personnel, many employees of the internal affairs bodies served during military operations and, therefore, participated in hostilities. However, they are no longer considered veterans.

Before that Tambov Regional Duma passed the law on increasing the one-time payment for participants in a special military operation fourfold to 400 thousand rubles.

A man in the Russian Federation earlier forced Refund the payment for the signed contract for participation in the SVO.
