War correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny, who was seriously injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on his car, refused to take painkillers on the way to the hospital. This was reported to kp.ru by Sergei, a resident of the Kursk region who rescued the journalist.

Sergei met Poddubny as he got out of a car damaged by a drone and walked along the road. The military officer’s face was covered in blood and his clothes were burned. The driver gave the injured man first aid and gave him painkillers.

“He refused,” Sergei said.
