Iraqi Shiite armed groups affiliated with the so-called Iraqi Islamic Resistance reportedly launched a drone attack on a strategic target north of the Israeli city of Eilat. This was reported by DEA News Referring to a message from the groups published on Telegram channels.
“With the support of our people in Palestine, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, continuing our approach to resist the occupation against the crimes committed by the usurper structure against the civilian population, including children, women and the elderly, launched an action on Wednesday, July 24. The statement said that a drone attack was carried out on a vital target in the north of the occupied Umm al-Rashrash. Iraqi groups are calling Eilat Umm al-Rashrash.
Iraqi groups have also repeatedly reported attempts to bomb targets in southern Israel, particularly Eilat, and on several occasions launched drones simultaneously with Houthis attacking from Yemen.

In October 2023, they began firing missiles and drones at US bases in Iraq, Jordan, and Syria, causing minor injuries to US soldiers, but the attack on January 28, 2024 resulted in the deaths of US soldiers in Jordan.
