The restrictions apply to the following settlements in the five border municipalities: Krasnoe, Mukhin, Pankov, Leninsky, Pervomaisky in the Shebekinsky district; Bezymenoe village and Gorkovsky village in the Grayvoronsky district; Bogun-Gorodok village in the Borisov district; Popovka, Prilesye and Demidovka villages in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district and the Belgorod region, as well as Shchetinovka, Valkovsky and Vergilevka.
The governor said that checkpoints will be set up at the entrances, manned by representatives of the security forces. Public transport, including taxis, will be banned. Residents wishing to return will need to apply to village headmen. Gladkov explained that only adult men will be allowed through, according to strict rules: in an armored vehicle with an electronic warfare system, wearing personal protective equipment (bulletproof vest and helmet) and accompanied by military personnel and representatives of local authorities, including in self-defense.
He also added that abandoned houses will be protected by the Ministry of Defense according to an agreed schedule. Electricity bills of residents who decide to leave their homes will be postponed. Payment for consumed resources (gas, water and electricity) will be made according to meter readings.
Earlier in the Belgorod region, two men suffered from a drone strike.
