The Boeing Starliner is one of two spacecraft leased by NASA to transport astronauts to and from the space station.
Despite reports of leaks and engine problems, NASA remains confident the Starliner crew will not have to bail out on SpaceX’s competitors’ ships.
In the Daily Mail in mid-June WroteIt was reported that five helium leaks were detected in the ship’s propulsion system, which caused it to fail to leave the station.
Starliner’s launch was delayed twice due to technical issues and set off for the ISS on June 5. The crew was scheduled to return on June 14.
It was previously in orbit around the ISS Corrected for the launch of Soyuz MS-26 in the fall.
