Zelensky approved the establishment of Unmanned System Forces in the Armed Forces of Ukraine 11:15

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has approved the establishment of the Unmanned System Forces as a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The relevant decree is published on the office’s website.

It was announced that Zelensky decided to implement the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated June 25 “On the establishment of unmanned systems forces as a separate type of force within the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” The decree entered into force from the date of its publication.

The Unmanned Systems Force was established as a separate branch of the Ukrainian military in February of this year. In June, Colonel Vadim Sukharevsky was appointed commander of the unmanned systems forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
