The meeting to extend the detention of the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense involved in the case was postponed to 13:12

The Moscow Basmanny Court postponed until June 21 the consideration of the issue of extending the detention of Alexander Fomin, co-owner of Olimpsitistroy, accused of bribing Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov. This was reported by RIA News citing court data.

The meeting will start at 13.30. The reason for the postponement was not disclosed in court.

Consideration of a similar petition against Ivanov will be held on June 20, while the court will consider the case of the third person involved in the case, Sergei Borodin, on June 21.

Timur Ivanov was detained on April 23, the next day the court sent him to the Moscow Lefortovo pre-trial detention center until June 23. Ivanov was accused of receiving a particularly large bribe (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code); He also denies the crime.
