A 48-year-old woman consulted doctors with complaints of abdominal pain and enlargement. At the Moscow Regional Oncology Center, she was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer.
The tumor weighed 14 kilograms and made up one-third of the woman’s body weight. It compressed the abdominal organs, causing the patient to be unable to breathe, eat or move normally.
The woman’s uterus and appendages were removed and chemotherapy was prescribed. The postoperative period was uncomplicated.
Specialists of the Moscow Regional Oncology Center reminded of the importance of regular medical examination and gynecologist examination.
